It’s high time to revisit some of the amigurumi that I first made, I swear I have to make something at least two or three times before I get it right, but I’m still learning something new this time, which is, you can do repeated colour changes without having the break the yarn. I only realised this after making a handful of yarn ends for half a row when it’s time for me to make the white spots along the deer’s body then thinking to myself, there has to be a better way to do this. Watched the video tutorial again and realised my life could’ve been so much easier. Anyway, I’m proud of managing it, and this time having the colours I need, black thread and safety eyes I can finally make a deer that actually resembles one.

Photo of two crocheted deer placed side by side against a white background. The one on the left is a dark brown deer with noticeably larger gaps between the stitches. The one on the right is a smaller deer with a similar standing posture, except it’s in light brown with white spots across its body. It has safety eyes inserted and an embroidered nose and mouth.

A side-by-side comparison of the deer shows you the one I first did earlier this year and the one I made recently. The new one is a lot smaller but it’s more colourful and detailed! I’m very happy with my progress.
